73 Conclusions Despite the challenges they face, most people with MBC and their families demonstrate considerable resilience, adaptation, and courage as they continue to live with the disease[96] . But what they do, they cannot do alone. They need everyone involved in breast cancer advocacy and support calling for improved treatment and services. Although cures cannot yet be offered to MBC patients, health care and support organizations already know how to guide patients and their families toward better quality of life. This review demonstrates that the research is clear, but the application is poor. We know how to help patients cope, how to inform them, and how to perform the services they need. But the resources to do so and the broader recognition of those needs are still lacking.
