Free Webinar – Applying for Social Security Disability
Metastatic breast cancer makes you “presumptively eligible” for disability benefits from the Social Security Administration (SSA) through their Compassionate Allowances Program, but it is not a guarantee. You still need to apply and meet the SSA’s technical qualification rules which include strict financial limits for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and/or work credit requirements for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI).The Webinar looked at the following questions:
- What are the different types of disability insurance?
- What are the differences between SSI and SSDI?
- How can I improve the changes of my application being approved?
- How can I speed up the application process?
- What happens if my application is denied?
- How do I find a disability insurance attorney?
