Like Jake, I am also a Metastatic Male Breast Cancer Survivor. I’m one of the rare ones. My story differs from Jake as I was originally diagnosed at the age 24. I went 15 years clear until June 2025 when I got that terrifying news of Stage IV.

My mission is and has always been to make men aware that they too can get breast cancer. It is only 1%, by statistics, not a huge number but is still possible.

We are our own best advocates, we know our bodies best. If something feels off get to a doctor. As men we are stubborn and think something will go away. I thought the same thing as I first found my lump at the age of 17 and was told by doctors it was a calcium deposit and it would go away, nothing to worry about. That wasn’t the case and I should have been more vocal and gone to the doctor sooner.

Don’t wait, be adamant about your health and get to a doctor. Tell them what’s wrong so they can help you. Remember #MenHaveBreastsToo
