FAQs
For Individual & Nonprofit Members
Do I need to book my own room?
No. The Alliance has already reserved a single-occupancy room for you for two nights (Friday, Sept. 25 and Saturday, Sept. 26). You will receive an official hotel confirmation email in September once room lists are finalized.
Room charges/taxes will be billed directly to MBCA, and reservations are guaranteed for late arrivals.
Please note, you must provide a personal credit card upon check-in. Any personal or incidental charges billed to your room will be payable by you at checkout.
Will the Alliance reimburse my travel costs?
Yes, most travel expenses are reimbursable. Attendees are responsible for booking their own travel. Please book your flights as soon as possible to help secure reasonable rates. Receipts are required to process your reimbursement request, so please save copies of all itemized receipts.
Airfare: MBCA will reimburse one round-trip coach/economy airfare, up to a maximum of $750. Note that upgraded seating, checked baggage fees, and First/Business Class tickets are not eligible for reimbursement.
Ground Transportation & Guidelines: Covered per MBCA travel expense reimbursement guidelines. Details on the reimbursement guidelines & process will be provided in September.
Meals: All meals during official meeting hours will be provided by MBCA.
NOTE: If your nonprofit organization has elected to send more than one representative, they are responsible for covering any additional travel costs and will work with you directly on reimbursement.
What if I have trouble covering the upfront travel costs?
If covering upfront airfare presents a barrier, please contact Lori Crenny as soon as possible to discuss options.
For Industry Members
Do I need to work with the Alliance on travel arrangements and costs?
No, travel costs will be covered by your organization and must go through your own travel portal / process (including transportation arrangements if you are required to stay offsite). If you require any information or documentation, please contact Lori Crenny.
