Best Face Forward 2.0 can provide financial subsidies based on an eligibility criteria. One could be eligible for financial subsidies for wigs (cranial hair prosthesis), cold caps (scalp cooling treatment), and tattooing (three-dimensional micro pigmentation of the nipple and areola), tattooing of the eyebrows (micro blading), and yoga (where applicable).

The Journey of Courage and Hope Retreat, presented by Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City’s Koontz Center for Advanced Breast Cancer, is a chance for women and men with metastatic breast cancer to get away and experience healing and renewal.

MBC Creative Arts Therapy Retreat for Black Women and Men

A creative arts therapy 3-4 day retreat for Black women and men diagnosed with MBC in a beautiful retreat space in the Poconos. This retreat will uniquely address wholistically the dx of MBC in a manner that lends space for community, honesty, and vulnerability as well as transformation and healing in an environment outside of the white gaze. All facilitators will be individuals of color.

Our Pure Cat Initiative was launched in honor of Catherine Odderstol, a sassy yogi, who danced through life and who left us the gift of her eternal gypsy soul. Cat was dedicated to helping others have a mind, body, spirit approach to health and wellness. These programs include self-care such as yoga, pilates, fitness, dance classes, sound bath, meditation and prayer groups.

Integrative Oncology Support & Counseling Wellness

Unite for HER Wellness Program

The Unite for HER Wellness Program provides metastatic breast cancer patients with a passport valid for $2,000 of integrative therapies and services, renewed every six months for life. All services are funded and delivered by Unite for HER and include nutritional counseling, home meal deliveries, professional counseling, Reiki, yoga, and more.
