I wish people understood that living with metastatic breast cancer doesn’t always look like being sick. Many of us still wear makeup, go to work, laugh, and post photos where we look “fine.” But underneath, we’re carrying pain, fatigue, and fear — because treatment is lifelong. There’s no cure, just a cycle of moving from one treatment line to the next, hoping for more time and stability.

We’ve learned to live in between scans, in between side effects, in between uncertainty and hope. We’re not just patients — we’re parents, partners, dreamers, advocates. We keep showing up for life, even when our bodies are tired and our hearts are scared.

We don’t need pity; we need understanding. Compassion. Awareness that we’re still living with MBC — not just surviving, but holding onto the moments that make life worth fighting for.
