VIRTUAL MBC IMPACT SERIES | Young Researchers and Immunology

October 27 @ 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM EDT

Komen offers conferences and events across the country to educate, empower and connect
metastatic breast cancer patients with information, resources and others in the MBC community.
Programs offer topical discussions specifically for people with MBC and their loved ones.

“Young Researchers and Immunology”
Hosted by Komen NC Triangle to the Coast
What is immunology and how does it inform metastatic breast cancer treatment methods? During this session, researchers early in their careers at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University will present on the various aspects of immunology they are studying. Their work to understand the body’s response and resistance to treatment based on cancer sub-type will inform how to cater immunotherapy to the individual patient and ultimately improve outcomes.
