CLINICAL TRIALS EDUCATION FOR THE MBC COMMUNITY

WHO NEEDS CLINICAL TRIALS?

DOCTORS
need clinical trials to understand which treatment works best for certain patients and  to determine if a new treatment works better than others.
PATIENTS
need clinical trials to make sure another treatment is available to them when they need to try something new.

One of the goals of the MBC Alliance for 2018 is to increase participation in clinical trials
by educating patients and their families about the importance of clinical research.

Advances in metastatic breast cancer research can help people live longer with a higher quality of life, yet fewer than 1 in 20 people with cancer ever participate in a clinical trial.
We have begun compiling a list of our members’ resources to make it easier to find the information you need about clinical trials all in one place.
