need clinical trials to understand which treatment works best for certain patients and  to determine if a new treatment works better than others.

need clinical trials to make sure another treatment is available to them when they need to try something new.

One of the goals of the MBC Alliance for 2019 is to increase participation in clinical trials
by educating patients and their families about the importance of clinical research.

Advances in metastatic breast cancer research can help people live longer with a higher quality of life,
yet fewer than 1 in 20 people with cancer ever participate in a clinical trial.

To help patients who might be considering participation in a clinical trial, the Alliance has developed this Clinical Trial Checklist for Patients. Use the checklist to be sure you understand all the important information you need to make an informed decision.
